Trap

Hi,

The trap you posted does not conform to the usual pattern for this style of machine woven trap, which has only been found in green. The base material and welt appear different too. I've never run across the trap you posted. However, I think it is interesting..... I collect fake traps too and it is not one I have run across as being sold for reenactors, etc. If you decide to take a chance on it, I would not pay very much, as it unusual, IMO. Anyone else run across this odd version?

There is a lot of well known original variants that all have striking differences , what I'm trying to find out is , is this one of them , it's not in any books , is construction looks convincing, there must be someone out there that can shed some light

A typical period making with the "heavy threads" on the back .
Only a design variation .
