So the thread that made the features of the insignia rotted away leaving not a single fibre but every thread that held the insignia onto the tunic remains ....

              Also

The only thread is on the eagle.gravity is only holding tabs in collar and all else is gone. I get its just rotted fabric but i love relics the most while most like a new untouched item. I know this a pile of **** compared to unused items but i love the heavily used stuff

I don't see how it can be said 100% that these are bad. It is odd that the thread on the eagle didn't rot, but different materials are affected differently.

I know of several SS feldblusen and VT caps which were recovered from the cemetery in Kiestinki (yes, most likely on less-than-honest methods) which were entirely intact, wool and lining, minus the thread. Likewise, I've seen zelt fragments from the same region with thread remains still. However, I don't see a huge value in these fragments, without 100% provenance as to where they came from. And even then, ground dug feldblusen typically = cemetery finds, so take that as you will...

Like I posted earlier, for what it's worth, it all looks consistent with other ground dug insignia I've seen.

I'd be more concerned with the circumstances of it's finding than I would the originality...
