    It looks to my eyes pretty good, but isn't it suspect that the cloth, buckram and piping is in superb condition contrary to the bullion skull and the 3 ?? I know that's not an answer to your question on originality....
    Maybe the collectors with more experience on skulltabs can shine their light over this one.

      The bullion is made that way by environmental conditions, not wear, so the rest of the tab wouldn't necessarily be affected.

                You have to understand if sewn to a tunic the back would have never seen day~light
                So I agree with what's been said but I have to say the skull shape concerns me
