SS fur cap insignia question

Hi fellas:
I recently received good reports from Forum members with regards to the authenticity of a 1923 'Danziger-style' Totenkopf that I'd recently posted. I received the TK separate along with an SS fur (rabbit) cap which already had an eagle on it. The previous owner had removed the TK from the cap and repositioned the eagle in the front center of the cap. I've seen pics of SS officer's (i.e. Sepp Dietrich and Max Wunsche) wearing both an eagle and a TK (though both were later style TKs) on winter caps (wool/fleece caps). Was it very common for both an eagle and a TK to be worn on fur caps?? I'm wondering if I should carefully reapply the TK??

I have seen both, eagle and TK, on these fur hats. They were matt black though.

I have seen many original examples both in person, and in period photos of fur Waffen-SS hats with both aluminum, and sterling silver TK/ Eagle.

I am not going to get into any ridiculous debate. Not only have I "handled" them, but I also own one. There are several reference books that acknowledge the existence of original TK's and Eagles in solid silver, plated brass, pot metal, aluminum, and aluminum white wash just to name a few. If your intention is to follow me around from post to post, your wasting your time. I am not going to respond to your posts. Ignore my threads, and try contributing something of value to members here, rather than your predictable diatribe.
