Zinc Deschler M1/52 TK - Rare variant

I bought this skull recently and assumed the prongs must be replacements but now I have it in hand, I don't think they are.
I don't recall seeing another zinc Deschler with the prongs attached this way so possible quite a rare one?

If you are sure that those prongs are orginal this way it is rare for this type of skull.
Deschler used this type of connection in early models -transitional type.

P.S By the way nice skull

      Nice Deschler skull Ben.
I've been searching for a zinc one myself for quite some time.
      Wanna sell

            Everything seems correct.
            Just to "certify" .
I would like to ask you about the weight of the piece.
"not long ago" there some fake "light zinc" deschlers ,that just by changing the prongs were really good in their objective of "cheat".
            Hope I'm wrong.

The skull itself is absolutely original. As for the prongs, I am unable to make any judgment without seeing it in hand.

I’m not an expert on skulls but it’s that normal to see on Deschler skull or any other skulls ?

You can often find defects like this around the sides of zinc alloy and aluminium insignia due to the hot stamping process. The semi molten material sometimes does not create the desired result.
Here are a few more examples.

I agree. The outer edges will vary from time to time. I see nothing wrong with this skull.

often to see ..that depends on how the oversdies are centered in line with the under die during the process👌

Yes, IMO, the prongs are original and I'll tell you why.
It's very difficult to attach anything to zinc alloy, especially for a DIY person without specialist equipment. That's why you see repaired prongs covered in blobs of solder all over the back of skulls. That is not evident here and neither are any round bases of broken prongs.

well i have seen a lot of zink awards restored with missing pins and catch ,and it was done perfect way hard to see in hand ,so if someone want to restore a skull and know how to do it its not a big problem , I dont talk abaut home artists here ,but every jeweler will do that perfect way at last the few i know . but thats only abaut how something can be restored by right hand ,i dont know if your skull is restored or not .

So you don't know if this skull is restored or not but you wanted to say that that you know jewelers can do it. Fair enough but I guess the jeweler forgot to charge for this skull then because it was cheap as chips..
