          Very nicely done! The colorizing work on this photo is spot on.

          Believe it or not I was the first one to publish this photo back in the early 1990s. I used it for an article I wrote for the French magazine Armes MILITARIA. It was on Waffen-SS winter camo uniforms. This was when the US National Archives was in downtown Washington, DC. We spent hours going through the US Army Signal Corps photo albums from WWII until we spotted this photo and recognized the dot camo winter pants. I have the article scanned somewhere and can post it later.

                        Finally a new photo showing the dot camo winter pants being worn in the field.
                        The parka appears to be oak leaf. And he's wearing the right side magazine pouch for the MP 44.

                          Yes , an amazing pic (never seen, with a lot of mixed early/late items :
                          First type of ss winter pants, M35 or M40 helmets , M42, cover , camo cap,...........

                            I never saw a dot parka on period pics however here are a few sold by
                            some famous dealers ……
