SS fes for authentication please.

Hello all, my friend from work is considering buying this fez. I do not like the patches especially the skull and the stitching on the patches isn't right either IMO. All this said, I do not collect SS things (mostly because I cannot afford it) and so I asked him to please wait before buying it so that I could get some opinions from you fellas first. I don't want to slander anyone but for some reason I seem to remember being warned about this site in the past here on WAF but I could be mixing it up with another so I will hold my tongue on that account. I know nothing of the site from personal experience .



A. Fez looks ok.
B. Fez is underpriced for a dealer or collector to be flogging . Any dealer would pay that price. Red Flag.
C. Seller has been a member on that site for only for 1 month. Red flag
D. Seller has no feedback at all . Red flag
F. Seller only accepting money order or checks ( no protection to buyer). Red flag


Seller may very well be legit but......Extremely risky buy .

Fez is perfectly fine, but I’m glad Dennis already pointed out the red flags. The price alone would concern me. While estand had some real good offers recently, these are still in >$900 range or even more on dealer sites.

Thank you very much for your time and input guys. Like I said, I know next to nothing about SS stuff just because I don't collect or buy it so have spent no time studying it really. I will pass along your input and your concerns to my friend. I was under the impression that if you use postal money order you are protected under the mail fraud protection laws. My friend who is thinking of buying is a retired federal agent and pretty savvy about sussing out crooks, just wanted to make sure he wasn't buying a lemon. I thought all goods on that site were sold by same person so again my ignorance is showing. Thanks again guys, this site is an invaluable resource.

Eric, of course using a postal money order for fraud is a crime ,but that doesn’t protect your money . I would think with all the mail and internet fraud today a $700
“Nazi” hat will be low in priority for federal postal inspectors ..... and your friend may never get his money back. At the price stated it should be gone by now.
