Langemark Arm Shield

I would need help, if this is an original Langemark arm shield. It is not pretty so I have no high hopes that it is original.

There is a bewildering array of Langemarck shields, many good, some bad, and all the "experts" and "knowledgeable collectors" in the world laid end to end would never reach a conclusion as to which are real and which are reproductions.

At first I thought this one had a chance, but then I compared it to the example on page 171 of Angolia's SS cloth book. The example posted appears to be a copy of that shield. The question becomes when was it copied? 1944 or say 1990. Personally, I find it highly suspect, but I might be wrong.

This is now considered a known repro (taht is the consensus at least...) A shield that existed since the late 80's and appears in the German soldier uniform books
by the French publisher H & C...
I own its twin. Back in the day it was considered a good one...since it was referenced in books (pre internet)
