    Kammler? What about Joseph Spacil??

    Kammler - mysterious!

But what about SS Oberführer Joseph Spacil?

Assigned to hide 25 million dollars in gold etc.?
He was in very high demand with Various US military departments.
Anyone know what happened to him?
Just asking because I don’t know.

So much Storys pop up at the End of the War....there must be a Trillion Ton Gold in Germany at the End of the War when all of these Storys are real And about Spacil, he started to work right after the War as Employee for a smaller Import Export Company in Munich...and that he did until he retirer in the early 70.

      Thanks for the info!
As Himmler’s paymaster, do you think everyone wanted to interview him because he knew where the $ was?
Or is that a myth too?
Lots of stories of ‘hidden Nazi Gold!’

            Now let’s backtrack a little.

Spacil started work as an employee for a smaller import export company in Munich after the war, until retirement??? A lowly employee?

I’m not a devious guy, but if I knew where the handle-end of upwards of 25 million dollars in 1945 plunder was, and was in high demand by various allied agencies, I’m sure that even I could score a better deal than employee of a small export firm after the war.

Especially as an ex-SS member, an intimate of Himmler, charged with hiding millions in gold and diamonds. With a potential war crimes charge hanging over my head, I’m sure I could have scored a better deal than that.

Spacil doesn’t strike me as particularly stupid. Why did he go to work in such a lowly post?

Do you have the name of the firm he worked for in Munich? I will look it up.

            What happened to him??

                  Chahler,
                  Good point!
                  What is that skull???
                  Is Spacil a hoax?
Now I feel bad I brought it up. True, false??
Is he in the SS DAL?

The skull is clearly a fake. Those guys did not have a WAF to keep them straight so many were fooled at least judging from period photos. It also appears that he did know that you can not have a “crusher”, at least a true crusher, with chincords. What a mess!🤭

                      Phil,
                      You are right! Excellent point!
How in the world did those poor SS guys manage, without a WAF to keep them straight??

Skull is drawn on the photo afterwards as a touchup. Notice how many details there are on it compared to everything else of the poor quality scan.

Yes, we see it many times … the same photo with different rank insignia, award added etc etc. Nothing to see there, move along

Earlier in the week, we found some of those banknotes you see mentioned in the report. To think they did such a good job at forging them - and then decided not to move forward with the plan.
