From these pictures, I'd pass. Odd extra pieces of wool, extra holes, odd looking cords and contrived aging. And it seems to be for the commander of TK Standart 1 (assuming the wafenfarbe is white). Very suspicious. Too many red flags for my taste.
Here again a close-up of the Rayonpaspel.
Maybe someone else knows something.
At the moment it is somehow not properly clarified whether good or copy.
Thank you.
It's obviously original material, what strikes me is the wear! I mean such a high ranked officer/"almost general" would not wear his shoulderstraps the way a enlisted man would, with greasy y-straps sliding over all the time and sitting down in dirty fox holes etc... but as I see it u look at a board constructed out of all original material.
Thank you for your assessment.
So you see the piece as original if I understand you correctly.
As for the condition. Who knows what this shoulder board already experienced and participated in over time. If the piece was on the battlefield I would not be surprised the condition.
A real piece of the battlefield would be really awesome. Who knows.
