SS insignia opinions

Hi Guys

I just wanted to get some opinions on these pieces please prior to selling.

I am pretty happy the Vlaamse Wacht officers cap insignia and police runes are fine.

The officers cap insignia- the skull I think is repro but this type of eagle I have seen described as good previously so I would be grateful for any opinions

Flatwire insignia are bad. Polizei runes could be ok but I don't like the backing wool. The wreath I have no clue.

Ps. Ian you said this same eagle was original back in January

Hello,

There are a number of versions of the flat wire skulls (TKs).
Here are six examples from a friend's site, but it does not show all of them.
I believe the skull on the overseas cap that started the thread may be original, but it would be nice to see a picture of it flattened out, if possible.

I agree, it certainly works for me. The lighting and angled shots perhaps don't do it justice ? Ian.

The shots on this thread are even worse and very badly lit.


The skull is 100% fake ... look at the wide flat weave, like strands of tinsell not the wire that originals are made of.

Here is a shot of the skull without flash- Ian, the flat weave you mention is not actually the case- it is just a pattern woven in that looks that way- the wire is actually thin wire as you can see on the closeup
