Set from vet: SS rune, cap skull & cap eagle

These came to Canada with a returning WWII veteran of the First Canadian Army. There were a few pieces of Canadian insignia in with the many German pieces he brought home. It does not appear that he added any post-war TR insignia to his wartime collection, although that does happen, I fear. I don't know what to look out for on these pieces:
