Early grey LAH strap

I was just wondering how a new collector or even an old collector who wants to collect LAH boards is supposed to go about doing that. Where can they get some ironclad knowledge to even begin the collecting journey. We have been told on this thread that don't believe what you see in the books. We have been told that don't believe the comments on the forum. Apparently only a few old time collectors know what is right vs. wrong, which would be great if they actually posted examples so the lesser knowledge people could have something to compare to.
To me, threads like this only prove that cloth collecting in these specialized areas is a waste of time and money.Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

Love the one with the crank embroidery ! (Kurbelstickerei)
Incredible hoy many different styles and boards the LAH had generated in its 12 years of existence.

What about these then?
I saved the images as that is how I learn outside of hitting shows when possible and rarely ever encountering good early LAH boards, speaking with others, references, and cataloging as much as possible. A folder for good examples to reference and a folder for fakes helps.
Early boards I think are really beautiful in their overall gaudiness.

Not originales IMO.
These started appearing at least more than 10 years ago.
Cheers

What a pity for someone. Those were sold by Military Antiques of Stockholm for 3,995.00€ as originals.
How about these then gents? Thin embroidery, missing bar tack on buttonhole. I say no, but I've not handled enough. They aren't easily encountered.Last edited by Lloyd I.; 06-30-2019, 09:57 AM.
