I can't recall seeing an UStuf wrap with a "KvK" ribbon through the buttonhole.

"Refreshing" since it's not the usual EK-2/Ostmedaille ribbon you generally see on wraps.

[and there has been discussion about this video - and that eagle - here in the past, I think]

Looks like two very different eagles on the wrappers.

Not trying to be redundant, but one appears printed and the other the Dachau version.

One [low-ranking] Officer and two EM's might imply they were "liberated" from a captured crew, or even the side of the road . . . but they could also have been obtained from a warehouse.

The "real" story for how these GI's obtained them would be very entertaining.

Probably found in a baggage truck attached to the unit.
Original owners probably changed into their camo combat suits and went into battle.
Company truck probably lost in battle.

Interesting to see that one has the CT higher on the sleeve, similar as Wittmann.

There is a reference to exactly this either in 'Grenadiers' or the 12th SS HJ Catchpole books … Meyer and Wunsche did a recon and then returned to the HQ area to change into their camouflage combat outfits.

Thats what I was referencing in my post.
In the same book there was also mention of black suits being ruined by shrapnel when stored in the outside stowage bins..........
Boy I havnt read those books in years but some of it stuck I guess.

Same here Owen. The smaller details logged in my brain, I seem to be struggling for RAM memory these days but those things hang on in there.

I had a few vet friends who had lost tunics and favourite pullovers which they had still not forgotten even decades after...

Its like leaving a favorite t shirt under a one nights stands bed and not finding it in the morning !
But always missing the t shirt !
