SS Pol.Div man with skull ring

Looking for opinions on whether this is a photo showing a Totenkopfring or some kind of pseudo version /period repro ? The image is 1940 era SS Pol.Div.

Looks like a skull canteenring. Not specific ss. Nice pic.

Agreed. It's a commercially produced "skull" ring, not the SS Honor Ring.

Note that the crossed bones protrude from the skull much more than they did on the SS Honor Ring.

it is a well known [ to ring collectors ] period pattern..

It is private purchase available to anyone but mainly popular with the armed forces/para military etc.

just looked at this photo of ss police men in my opinion this is a skull ring with crossed skull bones not a ss honor ring this is just my opinion if outher members see different then so be it thanks god bless andy militarynut
