Not strange at all, completely normal for this hobby. In another thread someone spoke about what an incredible businessman Ron Manion was right after Vince posted that the man had used his credit card number to buy postage for manions business! WTF!
Some of the weirdest things I have ever heard of are in this hobby. The level of crookedness defies belief sometimes.

How can you guarantee your reproductions won't be re-sold as originals?

I can't guarantee it, but I'm trying to prevent it as much as I can. The two ways I do it are:

1. All products that are stamped with an invisible stamp saying "Krause Kapierwerke Reproduction" which can be seen under black light. See Fraud Prevention page for more details and pictures.

2. I refuse to fulfill bulk orders that I have reasons to suspect will be used by dishonest dealers for resale as originals.

Sometimes the ones we think,are the most honest are right under our noses..and they stink.I,remember a Allgemeine cufftitle on a site offered..a person we trust...next week,was on a black tunic on,another honest dealers site.Neither just couldn't figure it out...yeah right.Just saying the ones who are consistently dishonest aren't the only dishonest ones! And some share how crazy these other dealers and themselves aren't so up and up.
