Thanks, Robert! That set you have is really nice. I have not seen a miniature with the sewn runes like that before. In fact, yesterday was the first time that I was ever able to see one of these miniatures in hand, but I was very impressed with the details and so I just had to have it. I would really love to see your 4-year miniature Robert, if you have a photo handy and if it's not too much trouble. Thanks again!

Found my miniatures. They are all 8 year, no 4 year. If anyone is interested, I will be posting them to the estand for sale.

Wow, that is incredible. It does certainly seem like the ones with the ribbon intact are much harder to find. I have seen lots of these on the Internet over the years, but very few that had the ribbon. Thanks for showing these and btw, I think that your price is very reasonable, especially for the nicest ones that still have the rings on them.

Does anyone know if you can buy the correct little blue ribbons to go with these anywhere? Also, did any other TR miniature medals use these same miniature blue ribbons, or perhaps these are the same as the standard blue ribbon bar ribbon that was used for various types of long service awards for ribbon bars? If so, I would think that someone would likely have a roll of this type of ribbon that they could cut a piece from. I know that a while ago, you could get common ribbons from the big dealers for Iron crosses and standard full size blue ribbons, etc. They used to have many types in unissued rolls and would sell proper length cuts pretty cheap several years ago. Anyway, just a thought!

the only chance maybe LW ribbon would fit.
But need to compared well by hand at daylight if it really does match up with original SS service ribbon color. I think all long service as well WH got same ribbon color for same service.

Chris, more than often these 8 SS minis come without the ribbon ring. The ring on your's is added for sure. The embroided runes are most likely home-made and should only be correct for the 12 year cross (possibly). Minis were never worn hanging from a ribbon, hence an added cornflower blue ribbon is correct only for esthetical purposes (same as Wehrmacht LS). Drop me a pm and I'll send you a piece.

when I look at my mini ribbon it is really a full size mini ribbon for its only purpose, same as yours Chris.
