I cannot tell from your photos or the description of the base metal and type of finish. It should be silver finished pot metal. The two pins are normally silver plated for this very rare eagle.

I just got a couple via a veteran, in Arizona. The eagles came with an Italian made skull, a pair of red (blank) collar tabs and a red corporal cheveron.

I attach a photo of the original eagle.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

                    Hello Max,
the eagle at your touch is flexible? the material is zama? welding of the prongs

                    regards

                      .........

                      Hello Quex,
the eagle is not flexible at all, I think is zama but I'm not sure cause of my poor knowledge about metals.
The weldings are silver colored but in their folding points, the prongs are quite brass colored.
                      Regards,
                      Max

                        Hello Max,
this eagle is late war italian production in zama metal, IMO on the photos
is OK the original prongs are in brass.
                        regards
