SS M37 jacket woodwork find

Hello,
I have just find this jacket. In first moments I was not able to recognize what jacket it is, but after some check it looks like SS M 37 jacket to me. It is quit hard to find some good pictures of it on web, please, am I rigrht with mi oppininon ? All oppinions are wellcome ! Many thanks for your time and help guys. Best regards

It has been modified, but it appears to be an original one.

Yes, I know it is original, it was found amongst the hord of other old clothes. please, how it was modified ? Jan

A rather rare jacket!

It's a shame about the condition, but a nice find. The buttons were of course changed, presumably to be worn as a normal jacket after the war. But that's an easy restoration.

My speculation is that the clothes are "Schi bluse".

I think that the area around the waist and probably the sleeves are also protected against cold.

Of course there is not the conclusive evidence.

This is a regular tunic, the SS ski blouse has a fly front to conceal the buttons, wrist fasteners and gussets behind the shoulders.

I don't know of an example in a collection but feel free to PM me if you would a copy of a period photo of the tunic in wear.

This is the typical M37 tunic, I got years ago absolute same style in my collection with same Details. This shown tunic is the only 2. example I know of and its very very rare. There is nothing modified on it.
