    Is this one original?

    Hello!
Just a brief background. I purchased this pennant from WAF member/Moderator Jeff Clark several months back from his site. He acquired it from a local veteran who was in the 1st Army, 3rd Infantry division; fought from D-Day to Prague.

    Sold archive is here
    https://www.nsdapuniforms.com/index....id=4501&page=8

After viewing some of Jeff’s threads on WAF I’d say he has one of the biggest collections of pennants out there. So I trust his judgement.

He also has an NSDAP pennant of the same construction

Looks like complete trash. Stitching, tag, etc, and it's sold. Someone just got ripped off...

Wasn’t this just sold on the estand for $625? http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=994264 I’m wondering if the buyer might want to comment?

It just looked strange to me and I've never seen one with an rzm tag, but I know nothing about pennants and if the guy who got it from the vet is trustworthy I have no idea what to think.

I hope this is not true, I have always bought from Jeff Clark thinking that he was a legit dealer. If this is true, he has lost my business....

I will contact buyer and have him view this thread.

Does anyone have any original SS examples they would like to share? Maybe it would shine some more light on this subject.

It's always possible that Jeff did buy it from a veteran if he says he did, just because it's from a vet doesn't make it authentic unless the vet brought it back himself. In my experience veterans pick up stuff over the years that they themselves did not bring back.

Here’s an FM example deemed good. Has the same type of stitching plus some chain stitching.

                      Agreed.
Here is a cast eagle pick up from a WWII Veteran i bought a few years back. Complete fake, but guy legit served in WWII. Had photos and everything, said he fought in Italy.

                      But was also a collector....

Where was it deemed good? I see... "I like", "I think" "Why not?" Am I missing something?

Well hopefully some pennant gurus can chime in on this one. Buyer has been contacted and will review thread.

As for the war relics one.. Definitely don’t believe this to be a delta international.. Every delta pennant I’ve seen were always equipped with a rope and slapped with an atrocious rzm tag. As for lacking a “medal rod” I believe this type of pennant would of been placed in a celluloid protector case.
