Rare ss high ranking bullion police eagle comments please !

    Dear Members,

Went to the home of an 84 old collector in the middle of nowhere Friday, which is what we all enjoy doing as collectors, the hunt for treasure !

The guy had a large collection of SS items medals, daggers, hats, and this SS high ranking Bullion SS Police officer.

I also took as many photos of some patches, collar tabs, hat which I will post for comments later.

I need all of your valuable opinions as I would like to buy many of these items.

This is why we have a forum to discuss authenticity.

    Have a great week !

    Cheers Steven.

The way some of the bullion is fading to reveal a base copper colour is typical of the 60's fakes … the 1st generation 'Bowling Pin' fakes were made of this or a very similar material.

This is a known fake tag.

copy Tag, and tax cheating or mistakes happened also back then. Its not always fake when a wrong tax code is attached.

                  Dear Members,

THANK YOU for all your comments and advice !

It appears that this " OLD " collector is one of those "OLD" gun show sellers who would lie to there own Mother in order to get money from you.

It saddens me to see this unscrupulous bastards look you in the eye and tell you quote " THEY WERE MY FATHERS, HE BROUGHT THEM BACK FROM THE BULGE, I SWEAR ON MY KIDS HEADS "

Thank GOD we have this forum where people from all over the world can offer there advice and comments and discuss openly there opinions. If only we could get the extreme left in the US to do the same lol !

                  Cheers Steven.

No one fakes just one cloth item, possibly an SS helmet or visor.
But the economics don't justify just one or two.

I bought a couple of items 40 years ago that I felt were good just
waiting for another one or more to 'appear'.

When there were no more I felt more confident in my assessment
at the time to be true.
Sadly, you've got to take a very long time view for that tactic to work.

                            HI,

The Picture is in really bad Quality but i compared it with several original tags. I do have a few concerns regarding the shape of the numbers (3, 5...) and the shape of the lettering from Hersteller but a good scan would help.

The size of the Serial number is correct.
