            Nice cap, but I’m not seeing a “Berg”. Looks like a single button M43 to me with standard size visor, but I guess it could be the angle of the pics throwing me off. I could be wrong of course, but I’m just not seeing it.

              I like it. The handsewn buttonhole is a plus, as is the lack of pull-downs over the ears, double-sewn liner seam, and high flap pulldowns.

              Leather full and partial liners and dramtically shorter bills are also typical for these, but not required. I like how it hasn't been "completed" with an inexpensive edelweiss.


              Nice looking cap with every chance of being what it looks like - an SS mountain cap.

                also as no bias material in pull down flaps, early quality wool, before M43 cap issued, and known maker of burgmutze.
