    Alfred Minchin's BFC tunic questions

Greetings, I've always been interested in foreign volunteer Waffen SS tunics and I decided that I was going to buy all the reproduction pieces I need and make a tunic for my collection. I decided to make a British Free Corps tunic, specifically a replica of the one that Alfred Minchin wore in the well known photo in his BFC tunic and I have a few questions before I start putting it together. Any help is much appreciated.

#1- It's hard to tell in the one photo of him that I know of, but is he wearing an M42 or an M43 tunic?

#2- Would the Sturmmann chevron be subdued since the BFC came later in the war? Again, hard to tell from the photo.

#3- What type of sleeve eagle is he wearing in the photo? A BeVo one or an embroidered one?

Again any help is appreciated, thank you so much.

    Here we are then:

    It's an M42 tunic

It looks to me like a Bevo sleeve eagle and a bright Sturmmann chevron (contrast with the army Gefreiter on the right). Note also the NCO candidate tresse on his shoulder board and the metal totenkopf on his cap.

The man on the right is from Kriegsmarine.
