1 - Zigzag stitching: this is EXACTLY what the underside stitching looks like, which would mirror the stitching on top of the strap as well. In this case the top of the strap stitching is hidden underneath the subdued tresse, but the underside is exposed because it lacks the wool underside reinforcement layer. See photo of a set I own: you see the topside zigzag, but not the underside because the reinforcing layer of feldgrau wool is present.
AND
2 - Subdued Litze (Tresse): absolutely nothing wrong with this at all. Like I said earlier in the thread, interesting in that the tresse was sewn upside down on one strap.
