Cap Eagle

Could I please have your opinion on this eagle. It has good detail but the only thing that puzzles me is that there is some kind of coating on the back. I tried to scrape some out with a nail but it just puts little marks in it. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I was under the impression that it was a repro. I had it sitting around in a box of other pieces of junk. The only reason I posted it was because I never saw a repro with that coating in the back. There was no need to post a pic of crap to get the point across. Things like that shouldn't be on the forum.
