Post your favorite SS shoulder strap/board and/or collar tabs

For strap, board and tab lovers, I felt that the Tony Barto SS Forum was lacking an equal thread to the Heer forum's strap thread. So let's what we can do.

Personally, I prefer the worn and used pieces as you'll be able to tell. The Bevo EM TK tab just kind of came into my hands though.

All are welcome, mint through tunic removed

This is a early-mid war infantry Hauptscharführer

    Here's a salty Obersturmbannführer board.

And here's the Bevo TK tab which I no longer own.

I'll add a few more over time as I dig them out, but feel free to contribute!!

      WSS Unterscharführer Collar Tab Cutoff

Well, here’s my favorite piece: a collar tab cutoff that I positively ID’d as a perfect match to the SS runic tab featured in Bando’s Book. One in a million right? This piece has its own thread here on the WAF.
I emailed Bando to see if he would sell me the runic tab side but he never returned my note, both thru the WAF PM and to his email address.
I have, on the other hand, been asked to sell my side by another member who also has items featured in the same book ... kinda makes me wonder! I said no, I’m not willing to sell as my goal, still, is to re-unite the 2 sides!

That is a beautiful piece, and a shame that Brando is keeping the siblings apart! Where did you come across the tab initially?

Who splits something like that up? makes me wonder...

I know shoulder strap collectors that do the same thing though. Buy pairs, try to keep one strap for free and sell the other for what they bought the pair for. Ruin the set. But money talks and people love getting something for free.

Craig Gottlieb believe it or not! I know his rep is pretty bad overall and he has had questionable transactions with more than a few, BUT, this was a good honest pickup. I’ve never personally been burned by him. I have no idea if he ever had the Runic Tab side. I think I’ve had it for about 6 years now and had not owned the book when I bought it. It wasn’t until later, paging thru the book, that I saw it was a match. There is zero doubt in my mind it’s a perfect match - one in a million!

Relic Jäger - that is a beautiful tab. The wear just says so much. You know it's got some stories.

And Lt.Dan, is this a worn infantry set? I can't exactly make out the waffenfarbe. Looking clean regardless!

That would've been my second guess.
