I had thought that the cut off one was found by Bob Treend? the publisher of D.G.

      Hi,

many thanks echoe and DaveJ for the additional infos !

Bob was on the WAF up to 2012 :

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...er.php?u=10390

He confirmed that he passed "Der Gauleiter" militaria magazine to Leo Watermaier

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...&postcount=147

and now he is operating his own website there :

      https://www.germanmilitariacollectibles.com/

Below is a picture of some 1991 "Der Gauleiter" magazine monthly issues.

      See You

Thank you: very interesting. When I first started my research into the BFC (circa 1981-82), the Formans were very interested in what I turned up.

So, gentlemen, I would respectfully submit that the BFC tab (and indeed the cuff-title too) is the rarest of all the SS insignia because whilst we do know that they existed, and were issued and worn, there is no reliable evidence that anyone has seen a real one since 1945 when the BFC deployed to the Oder Front with the Nordland division.

            Hi,

yes, it is also my opinion. The fact that no good picture surfaced (yet) is the best proof of that.
The second rarest is the Danish flag collar tab in wear in Summer/Fall 1942, but we can't be sure of the "200 copies" said to have been made (i already have 7 originals in archive).
For the Waffen-SS cufftitles, yes "British Free Corps" (again no clear picture exist) then "Charlemagne" and "Arthur Phelps".

            See You

You wouldn't happen to have a link or know who sold it?

                  Regards,

                      WOW,
I would have dismissed that as a fake,
                      Thanks

All the next models are fake (especially the "Dachau" look alike ones).
