    Not sure what I have here? SS Hauptscharfuhrer but wrong direction?

    With the shape of it I would say it's possible a different branch of service than ss

              I don't think it's NSKK.

              Note that this is a right-hand collar patch (and it's upside down). I would say this is a late-war patch for a Hauptwachtmeister of the Technische Nothilfe.

              (In 1943, SS-style rank insignia were introduced for the TN with the rank badges worn on both sides by all ranks.)

                    Technische Nothilfe it is. The right-hand collarbadge. TeNo had both collarbadges in mirrorstyle. Volkssturm never used 'Litzen'.
