i can't understand how idiots can be still fooled by this ultra famous picture of the 15./25 reconnaissance company of the "Hitlerjugend" after the second disastrous battle to take Bretteville l'Orgueilleuse in the morning of June 9, 1944.
This famous unit is pictured there at "La Villeneuve", the suburb in the East of Rots, which is located in the West of Bretteville.
Picture taken by the famous SS-KB Wilfried Woscidlo, the 1. MG man is Klaus Schuh, who will be KIA on June 26, 1944...
Agreed Vince , Its getting absurd. What world are we leaving for the next generation of collectors...But perhaps if we spoil the pool enough our own repros will someday look "more believable"??? hugh I just though of that ...
To add insult to injury the picture seller has performed the classic " glue and strip" or Brasilian wax effect ( Ouchhhh!) to the back of the photograph to add authenticity. Reminds me of someone here on the WAF who is a power photo seller. Seems he nightshifs as an ebay distributor as well out of Brooklyn. As I observed correlations in parallel offers, at very close intervals and of the same knock off.
The Warsaw cuff is comical at best. What are you smoking down in FLA. these days. Synthetic for sure.
The 'Warsaw' cufftitle is the classic old rectangular weave fake ... you could have any number of fantasy inscriptions on them back in the day .. 'SS-Fallschirmjager' 'Dirlewanger' 'Hitlerjugend' 'Otto Skorzeny' etc etc. These should fool no-one and yet they still turn up on a weekly basis here on WAF, like a few others here I actually find it quite sad and frustrating that people do so little research before buying these things ... it's all there for you, we have said the same words over and over again but no-one seems interested in learning for themselves.
