    Bevo Eagle and skull

I got this set for years now stowed at my dad, long before i knew about this forum or anything i got these.

Dont know if they are good, i still cant figure out the good from the bad, since they all look the same to me. I never had a 100% good skull or eagle to compare IRL.

They are old fakes .. the colour is an easy give-away just for starters.

Right it's about time you learn then . . . everyone can learn and teach themselves something.
Google the item first find yourself an original item and sit and compare. like for like.
It's not hard these are repros / rubbish in fact, the holes on the skull are wrong the bird has its faults too.
          So learn. . .
Its what we had to do
          Regards David

            Hello,

These fooled many people when they came out, so don't feel too bad. It is very hard to learn about a completely new collecting area and the devil are in the details; this insignia also has many variants.

You got this from your Dad, so no harm done but check with either knowledgeable collectors or other resources before laying out money for military collectibles - especially SS.

            Good luck!

              They also come in white
              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=987642
              Green
              Brown
And I've seen blue as well
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

                Thanks all for the input.
These will go into my fake folder as reference.

Its that they were laying around and wanted to be sure since im not planning to buy a skull and cap eagle in the future,. Skulls and cap eagles are not my actual SS interest/collection field. So no big loss about them.

                  Hi,

For your reference, here are two examples of what the original green and brown skulls for the camo cap look like.
