just got in this Totenkopf... SS is really not my field ... So here are my questions ...

Is it for a visor ?

I want to sell it but really don´t know what a fair price for a ground dug would be?

IMO based on those pics skull is not orginal.

It was found in the area around Schwerin in nothern Germany ...

Could be used by Historical reenactment group.
They simple lost this skull couple years ago.

Based on corrosion only, it is super convincing. Modern zinks corrode yes but not like this as modern zink alloys are a different makeup.

I collect gound dug items and I think this needs more investigation before labelling it a contrived fake.

If you bought and have one- no choice you must belive.
If you do not have this type of skulls- you do not belive.

This type of skulls should look like this skull witch typical old zinc alloy.
Notice the strange pins for this type of skull and the way how they are fastened.
But the skull is little smaller as regural ,,Danziger" and this way those pins perfectly match this size.
This is stamp made as should be. Walls are very tiny witch typical for zinc destruction.
This skull is not from ,,Berlin hoard collection"
