    SS Eagle Camo Type

    Hi all,

Happy holidays! I wanted to ask for some help on one of my eagles. What type of tunic was this removed from?

The camouflage reminded me of that typically seen on a smock - but were these ever sewn to them? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Take care,
    William

It could have come from a camo tank suit or camo panzer Jacket . . .
But I doubt not a smock . . . It appears to have spent its life there too

Both pieces are original … Is it a true 'cut-off' ? Who can tell ?

Probably added to a piece of zelt to spice it up.
The wear on the back is artificial

That was my feel as well … far too clearly defined.

Thank you guys for the feedback! I really appreciate the help.

That is a shame to hear - but understandable. The material does not feel that of a Zeltbahn however. It is much more thin compared to the others Ive had.

                Take care,
                William

There is no problem buying thin camouflage material scraps, our friendly Moderator Gary Wood usually has several pieces on his table.

From what I'm lead to believe the company tailor had amounts of spare cloth to carry out running repairs.
