Im working on restoring an early converted Rock tunic that has been on this forum in the past, and have worked out a deal for these tabs which I now have in my possession. Just double checking before proceeding with the tailor!

Even dealers whose reputation has been banged up can get good pieces - that "buy the item not the story" extends both ways.

Some really nice stuff comes from really bad places, sometimes. I wouldn't chastise Steve for throwing the dice.

As far as dealers go the one I dealt with has already promised to make good on the return. As to specific dealer comments, who among us hasn't made a bad purchase or an unintentional bad sale? Even "the dealers" who are also experiencing the changed market may take a risk or consignment that is outside their "comfort range". That's what's great about this site, if you are careful and use the massive amount of brain power and info here you have significantly reduced your risk.

How about the sleeve eagle??
