      Hi,

you need to post more pictures of locations or officers that can be possibly identified.

Thousand of similar pictures of SS training with MG were taken during the 3rd Reich.

One guy is having a TK collar tab, but dozen of thousand SS were in the TK regiments...

Different pictures are posted in this topic :

Part of it is 6.SS Nord.

The give away is the cemetery, which appears to be the SS-Nord cemetery that was on May-Weg, east of Kiestinki, Karelia.

Also, one guy has Steirische gamaschen, issued to Nord in '43.

TK tabs were very common early on, because it was formed by TK Standarten. This also explains the Bergmuetzen and tarnmuetzen.

Once in Vilna, it is no longer Nord, but he was probably transferred. Cool album!

            It's an MG34.

Correct; Nord also only received very, very few MG42s before they left Karelia in September 1944

                Hi clestuff

That is a very cool division Nord album.
SS skijagerbatalion Norge was a part of SS division Nord. There are picture of norwegian in ss skijagerbatalion shoting MG-42 and the tiltle in the book says "some of these Mg-42`s found its way to the skijagerbatalion".
Here is my old spec deact MG-42 late 44 and a veteran aquired norwegian SS skijager skicap from the town Moss outside Oslo, Norway.

Very nice photo album. Time capsule.
I also love that MG42. You can't go wrong with them. Sweet.

Yes, this is correct- but Norge-for whatever reason- had different supply lines than the rest of the division. Dot 44 in Karelia, type 2 smocks, etc; things which there is zero evidence of the "main parts" of the division getting while still up north.

That MG and bergmuetze are killer!
