Definitely, and we also don't have the gold reserves of Austria.

Plus, you're forgetting something else... try getting one of these out of the dead man's grip of a collector!

And, finally, have you ever held one of these or even seen one, and was it as good?

Oh... and I'm open to offers too!

          Cheers...

At this rate you'll purchase an original SS visor just to strip it of the insignia...……..

                Hi Beuwulf,

Agreed... but you have to factor in condition.

In my other life, condition is everything! So unless you have the very rarest item and it is also immaculate, immaculate and rare is at the very least on par - if not more desirable... but I needn't tell you that, as we have been discussing this very point for a while now.

                Regards.

I would never do that, because I have scruples. Unlike the person and auction house that sold me the fake visor they were originally on. That is why I've tried very hard to establish the authenticity of the visor before I removed them for sale, but I've already explained this many times on the forum and to the people who have contacted me to buy them. Some of whom now try to stop further interest from other collectors, so that I might perhaps accept their offers instead!

i would think the seller set the price
the item is only true value is known at the time of transaction
look like the bar on this is set very high but you never know who may wanna it so badly and come up with $4500
                    best of luck

I've set a loose bar there... because of the offers I received before I posted it. As you say, Mark, if someone wants a very rare and beautiful Zimmermann then who knows, certainly not me!

It will find its own level, and I'm not in any rush... heck, the longer I have it - the less likely I am to part with it. I've tried to marry people up with it, who had asked for one and been spoken to gracefully, acceptably and disgracefully. I mean, if I had a wish list and had put it out there and someone had approached me to say... I'm about to sell one if you want to take a look - I'd be cock-a-hoop and thankful. Still, maybe that's just me.

Gentleman, I have been nothing but honest about it all, and yet I seem to be constantly defending my position and explaining myself. I am not trying to sell anything dodgy... or out to offend anyone or con anyone. In fact, I've tried my hardest with the offers on PM to help collectors out, so one of them could own it and add an incredibly hard to find Tk to their collections, rather than sell to a dealer! I won't go into details... and nor should I have to.

For the final time - I hope - I am just after the Allgemeine visor that I should already own - if I hadn't already been ripped off! I was just fortunate this time that the insignia are real killers - especially the TK. It is a commodity, a very rare one - granted, and if someone wants it then it's currently available. I'm open to sensible offers and layaway to help people out. As I said, try and find another that is available and in such fine condition - I can't... what more can I say?

Except... cheers, Mark, for showing some understanding. Oh, by the way it is about $4000 not $4500...

you can drop down the price once by 3 days, so do it regularly,
and we can know the result

for sure not a holy grail, otherwise it would habe been sold after one minute. There is much stuff offered those days, but dont worry.

Since you ask for ridiculous and funny price because you don't ask £ 10,000.
