    Ss-black officer's visor

    Hello all,

Seen as my last attempt to buy one of these was a bit hairy (luckily saved by the insignia). I would be grateful of your opinions of this...

I currently only have these images but I'm hoping to get some more from the seller by the weekend.

    Cheers

I cannot speak to the insignia, plus they are pretty fuzzy, but at first glance I am not a fan of the visor. Would like to see more pics.

I feel quite skeptical as to the eagle, but I cannot say one way or the other based on that fuzzy photo. Please try to post better photos and we should be able to help you.

that eagle is pretty shiney compared to the skull. I wouldn't dare buy this without way better photos.

Looks to be an SS generals visor judging by the silver piping.

                  update and result!

Just thought I'd let you all know that this cap sold for £480 - to the first and only bid. It sold at a militaria auction and no collector/dealer present would touch it! The winning bid was done online. Either the bargain of the century or a bag of...!

It's crazy how many fakes are sold daily...it's even worse in Ebay, every day many fake hats are listed and people bid on them like there was no tomorrow...unbelievable how easy it is to deceive those people.

And because they keep selling, they will continue to be made for sale. Vicious cycle.

                              I'll keep looking...

Looks like I'll have to keep looking and keep posting and, maybe, just maybe, one day I'll find one that's legit!

The auction houses are just as bad - worse - than the individuals on Ebay and the like, because they know they're selling crap but don't care. 50-65% commission they get paid for their 'alleged ' expertise and they screw people over.

There must be thousands of newbies - like myself - who pay the money and trust their opinions and black type and guarantees only to be stuck with junk.
