          I did not know that the RK mit EL he was wearing survived.... I gather it damaged and

                  Sure, those offered are not those he wore when killed, also stated by his widow.

                  I just mentioned it, as you said the set he wore did not survided. Its in a collection in normandie.

                          Strange that the Prieß Swords are selling for 35,000 as worn by him yet Wittmann's are selling for silly money and not even the one's he wore ? So paying way over the odds for standard awards kept in a draw at home.
