    I just score this amazing grouping from a vets family that found all of it in the vets basement.

            post a picture of the reverse of the officers collar tab - looks like
            there might be some black wrapper material behind it.......

                      Crossed cannons are US navy gunner’s mate insignia.

                        fldjr is correct. BTW, it is very difficult to date and also worth very little, at least in this country. I think it was in use well before the second world war and is still in use. Blacklighting might help date it.
