Not that this means much in the world of SS stuff (as we all know how many regulations were broken..), but I believe these piped tabs were mainly for NCOs, as well as sometimes EMs; I could be wrong, but I don't recall seeing officers with waffenfarbe-piped tabs, only the typical silver braid.
Question about difference between Panzer breast eagle and an Overseas cap eagle?
This question may not be exactly related here, but could someone tell me what the difference is between a Panzer crewman's breast eagle patch and that of his Overseas cap eagle badge. Both appear to me to be about the same size!
There is a big difference in size between a panzer Heer (army) breast eagle and an overseas cap eagle. Same is true for SS sleeve eagle and overseas.
I'll post a comparison photo later.
Paul
Thank you, Paul, very much! I would love to see the difference of the panzer overseas cap eagle and that of the panzer member's breast eagle. I have an overseas cap that is black with the only intact patch being the yellow recon arrow. The original eagle badge and its cockade were ripped off before I got it.
