                Nice one! I like when they have a good chunk of the uniform like that. The collar on an SS wrap would be a bit wider, but none the less, it's super cool.

                    I would say from the collar wool and reverse would be an SS M42 pattern...is still nice to see it on the collar but maybe it would have been better being machined on

                            Just my own thing but i really love to see these old cut offs, they're great to observe the signs of age and time on insignia and how it sits on fabric. As well the salty factor, as well as if there is provenance with the item is just great! i dare say alot of these were cut off on the run as trophies, or proof of the type of troops encountered etc. Ever since i saw cut offs i have been looking for Turkish buttons in antique stores back home as described in accounts, which could have only come from Gallipoli. Cut offs are really intriguing in their own right.
