SS Kepi

hello gents.
would you please cast a very calm eye over this just fantastic Kepi.
The sweat band shows a good bit of wear.
the Insignia looks great ,not going to try to take it off.
The piping is great ,the leather strap shows age to the in-between areas and is showing cracking to the finish.
There is 1 cheeky moth nibble to the top right side.

Based on those pics skull and eagle looks orginal.

Kepi is not my area but looks more fresh as the skull.
Are you sure about kepi orginality.
If it is possible could you Pls post some pic of prongs of this skull on the kepi.
I think they are visible under cover.

I've seen very few SS Kepi that I could consider as authentic.

This isn't one of them, sorry.

The wasserdicht top lining and orange cotton side lining are typical post war manufacture IMO and it's obvious the sweatband has been re-stitched and was probably transplanted into this kepi from some other cap.
