    16. SS-Panzergrenadier-Division "Reichsführer-SS", need help please

    Hi guys
I am doing a reserch on this SS division when it was stationed in Italy ( apr 44 - gen 45).
Above all I am interested in the type of uniforms worn by them, having to set up a mannequin as historically exact as possible.
I hope someone has pictures, or can give me information about books related to this period, especially during the Cecina battle in July 44, when the division fougth against the 34 US.
Unfortunately having not found photos I can assume that, given the hot period, the soldiers used tropical uniforms or similar. I hope someone can help me with valid information.

    Many thanks
    Marco

      Help

Do a Google search for History of the 16th Waffen-SS Division. There are period photos of uniforms used by this unit. Check the various sites that feature military unit history books.

Be prepared to spend a lot of time and no small amount of money for your research. Nothing is cheap in this hobby.

Thank you Charles for your kind reply.

Yes, obviously I have already done research in various search engines, but it seems there are pictures of this unit only when it was not yet a Division and was stationed in Corsica ( SS-Sturmbrigade "Reichsführer-SS"), not during its fights in Italy in June and July44.
Could it possible they had the new M44 Drillich dot pattern or they had tropical uniforms?
If someone has useful information, please let me know.

I finally found two pictures of the division in a very interesting site on the battle of Cecina.

Please let me know if someone has useful information.
