    winter parkas in dot pattern

i have seen wartime photos of the winter trousers in Dot pattern being used in the field but I can't recall seeing a dot parka in a wartime photo. i have the reference camo books showing original examples of the parka in dot camo so know that they were produced in small numbers. I was hoping that someone could direct me to a book or online photo that showed the parka being worn in service. Thank you

Well I like to see those pictures as well, same as with the hood.

I have two pairs of the winter dot mittens and toque..and one unissued pair of winter dot pants..the pants are seen in wartime photos..but VERY few, I have yet to see the jacket being worn, but..it obviously does exist, which means it had to have been worn, as the other items were issued, common sense tell me it would have been issued, just no one with a camera around to shoot an image..UNLESS there were so few of the jackets produced that that they never made it to the field...but that does not seem plausible.

I think many of us would love to see a photo of the pea-dot parka in use.

I'm still trying to find the blurred edge winter pants in a war-time photo. I went back thru my books and files and realized I've never seen them, either.

Oddly enough, I've seen more pea-dot winter pants on Heer soldiers in photos, than Waffen SS.

Someday, we'll get a Leiber parka and a clear conclusive pea-dot jumpsmock war-time photos too...

Thanks for the reply guys. it seems strange that there are photos of the trousers but none of the parkas. It wasn't until a friend asked that I had noticed this. Well thanks for the replies, maybe one day a photo will turn up.

Is it true the peas pattern was supposed to replace all camouflage patterns then in service and not just the SS?

No, the Leibermuster was supposed to replace all camo-patterns.
