What do we say about this?:

One gets suspicious, when somebody is trying to sell presenting such lousy blurry photos!

    Hi,

horrible pics that should not be tolerated in 2018...
And the prices seemed ridiculously high even more if the shields are afterall not originals.

I'm reposting them for the WAF archives.

    See You

This day and age there is really no excuse for such poor photos
Even the cheaper cameras take a good photo on auto focus
And who is going to part with substantial amounts of money
if they don't know what "exactly" they are buying?

The pictures are poor but the items and seller could be just fine. I've made plenty of good purchases when the initial photos were poor.

Many people (even today) take bad pictures. Unless it is a habitual bad guy known to everybody as a crook, pursue more information and see if it's good.

                  Hi,

                  actually we are not discussing
                  - if the items are good or bad
                  - if the seller is good or bad

This is a fact that no one can seriously study such horrible pics.
You do not propose hundred of dollars items with them.
It is like proposing a Ritterkreuz with blurred low quality pics.

If a buyer make his choice with such pictures, the guy is a fool.
And i think that unfortunately people like that exist...

                    You missed my point.

Bad pictures just means you need to ask for better ones or start a dialog, if you are interested in the item. It's nothing to get spun up about.

Would you not contact someone who advertised "German war medals" in a weekend yard sale ad, when there are no pictures at all? The seller doesn't expect to sell them off that vague reference - that's how I see it.

                      Hi,

just the fact that the seller is unable to

                      a) provide decent pictures in 2018 (we are in 2018, 2018 !)
                      b) unable to understand that "something is wrong with his pictures"
                      c) unable to understand that due to the amount of money he is asking with such potentially faked items his customers are waiting a bit more than a crapy pic selling a Wal-Mart special edition of a mass-produced Elvis Presley best of compilation CD...
                      d) unable to "see" that he should provide better pics "because he made just a fool of himself due to this topic"

would be enough - imo - for a moderator to delete his ad and ban him temporary from selling on the e-stand.

If you are unable to follow basic rules to sell something, you shouldn't be authorized to be able to potentially fool people.

The community forum is full of bad deals that happened on the e-stand, how can a seller be trusted in a hundred of dollars item deal if he is even unable to post decent pics ? No respect for the mods, for the e-stand, for the WAF, and for the collectors.

On many chats, streams, forums if you do not follow basic rules you are banned and that's it.

I think that a photo etiquette should be added to the e-stand regulations.

                      See You

Agree 110% Vince... Should be mandatory for selling on E-stand.

Now that I think of it, that's a great idea: ban sellers from the Estand for using bad pictures, because they are obviously trying to rip people off and should know better.

It's no wonder people want out of this hobby.
