LAH Cuff Title, SS Runes and SS Eagle

    Dear forum member,

I'm helping the widow of a collector with assessing the value of her late husband collection. The decease collector was an active member of this forum and a good friend of mine. Unfortunately he left no instruction as to the value and disposal of his collection. Most is constituted of German daggers, but there are three pieces of SS cloth insignia in the collection which fall outside my area of expertise. Could you please give me your opinion as to the originality and value of these three pieces. Thank you for your assistance.

          Hi,

the AH cuff title is an original BeVo type.

The cuff title is a bit damaged, so the value is - imo - around 1200 usd.

          See You

The RZM Tag on the backside of the runes is fake.

All looks good. Dont know why the tag would be fake ,but not knowledgeable on those tags. All items are fairly common. Value would be what you will take to move the items. Price at going prices or higher and you may be sitting on them. Widow would probably prefer the cash. Those sleeve eagles sit on dealer sites at 2-250.

                        +1

Eagle and cuff are good originals
Not that keen on the runes

Starting with the fact that lettering A for a Hand embroided insignia tab like this is not possible - have you ever seen a genuine RZM tag without the No. in the lettering (in this case a star)? Not talking about the wrong size in the lettering and font.....

Search the forum for old fighter Chevrons and you will soon find a Topic from RobertH not too Long time ago with fake RZM tags showing the same font of the maker stamp like used for this tag.

Here a side by side comparsion with a good tag:

Here is the advanced twin fake tag:

Take note of the unusual big lettering of the NO and the Serial number - looking at original tags the size of the Serial number and the NO is NEVER bigger then the horizontal lines......
