May I please get opinions on this tunic. I believe it to be a factory issue VA1939. I originally posted it under the wrong title. The buttons and ramps have the W over W symbol. Thank you.

Howard,
Tunic and cuff both look okay to me. There is some question about when the cuff was put on and if it originally was on this tunic. My only point on when it was put on, because I would have thought there would also be an SS Haute-Diamond on the left arm of the tunic. Most Vlaanderen, especially in the early years when this tunic is marked, wore the diamond on the tunic. It showed, I believed, SS membership and was to signify German Nationality in the non-German General SS. I also think the ribbon would be an add-on.

I agree with the stated points above.
Also, when comparing with period pictures of Flemish SS men in black uniform, they all have a blank collartab instead of a numbered one.
The SS-Vlaanderen tunics also do have a SS-raut on their left sleeve with, in most cases, oversized runes.
This are offcourse just my observations and I am aware of different variations in these rauts. Bottomline is that these tunics did have them.
This tunic is imo a total put together.
