    I believe that this is an original Assmann zinc eagle that has had a Vaseline treatment to stop the corrosion. It appears to be a latewar, unmarked example.

              I came across these pieces for sale and I have purchased the Assmann Eagle and Skull.. I didn’t purchase the Deschler skull or obviously the fake one marked SS
