Opinion on Lion shield.

Could this be an original sleeve shield of the Flemish Legion or Langemarck Brigade/Division? Or is it merely a good/bad fake attempt?

I don't know enough about these early shields to be of much help.
Collectors guild has one for sale which is more expensive than this one.
This has a lot of dark grey embroidery to the reverse.
The collectors guild example I would be more comfortable with as the reverse colour is very similar to the dachau langemarck shield.

I own the same one...Also been told its a repro. Looks convincing though.
It appears in the H & C book on German soldiers but the consensus is that it's a repro...
