A fellow wants to sell me this SS cap. Looks old but is it original? Would welcome any opinions. Thanks

Mr. Jerry D..... I know exactly what you mean. A couple of nights ago I was down on my knees begging (well figuratively at least) for a shot at one of 2 early field gray SS-VT OS caps or an RZM marked helmet. Sadly the owner didn't seam to have any interest in selling.

veritas..... I've handled quite a few M-43's and I'm still not certain what makes a real one. I like what I see, but I have a suspicion the experts will give this one a thumbs down.

Seems to be original and real killer cap. Late one button cap.

This one has a seam on the cap back. Is that correct? I had a fellow collector tell me there should be no seam on the cap back.
