I have endeavoured to use the search function and have looked through my at present admittedly scant W-SS uniform and regimental history resources and have drawn a bit of a blank whilst trying to understand if Langemarck members used the Trifos collar patch during the last stages of the fighting on the Eastern Front (Sept 44 - end of hostilities)? I have recently bought the Schiffer book on the 27th and it has not really helped answer the question.
I see lots of photos of the standard runes in use but also some pics of the Trifos but it is hard to ascertain the date of the photos.
I am sure there is no definitive answer but it would be good to know if the Trifos was still in use this late in the conflict.
Any help greatly appreciated.
